...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of Virginia, including the following counties and
independent city, Alleghany VA, Botetourt, City of Covington and
Craig and southeast West Virginia, including the following
counties, Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe and Summers.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or
other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1047 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beaver Creek, Adair Run, Allen Creek, Anthony Creek, Beckner
Branch, Back Run, Barbours Creek, Back Creek and Beaver
Branch.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.

dangers of flooding.
